The Laconia Fire Department was notified at 23:14 of a building fire at 180 Union Avenue. Laconia companies were on scene immediately as they were nearby returning from a prior incident. 13 Engine 2 reported heavy smoke from the street side of the building and requested a second alarm. Meredith's 14 Engine 1 responded to the scene as part of the second alarm assignment while 14 Tower 1 was assigned to cover Laconia's Central station. 14 Engine 1's crew performed a secondary search of the building, along with crews from Belmont and Tilton-Northfield Fire Departments, while Laconia crews checked for extension. Additional mutual aid companies performed salvage and overhaul operations. 14 Engine 1 was released from the scene at 0:44.

14 Tower 1 returned to service at 3:19.

The Plymouth Fire Department was notified at 0:19 of a building fire at 63 Pleasant Street. Plymouth's 18 Engine 3 arrived at 0:19 and reported that an attached garage with a vehicle inside was burning. The fire was also beginning to extend into the residence. A second alarm was requested. At 0:51, command requested a third alarm with a special request for 14 Rescue 1 to the scene. 14 Rescue 1's crew assisted with salvage and overhaul.

All Meredith companies were in service at 4:02.
