Merdith Fire Department
Wednesday, February 08, 2012 Fire Danger Today: Fire Danger Forecasts discontinued until Spring. Please Drive Safely.

The Town of Meredith is located in the heart of  New Hampshire's Lakes Region and the Meredith Fire Department proudly protects 6,623 year round residents (2008 estimate) living in an area of 53.7 square miles. During the peak tourist season the population can more than triple.

We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential/rural area. This area also includes 14.2 square miles of water in Lake Winnipesaukee, Lake Winnisquam and several smaller lakes and ponds within the Town boundaries. Several islands in these bodies of water are populated in the summer as well.

Our department is a public department, whose members are on a paid on call status, providing the Town of Meredith with fire suppression, search and rescue, extrication, and Haz-Mat services.
