Meredith Assists at Three Alarm Structure Fire in Holderness
September 25, 2020

Meredith crews were called to 64 Chapel Lane in Holderness at 8:43 today. 14 Engine 4 was initially called to provide station coverage at the Holderness Fire station when a fire in the roof line of a new building under construction at the Holderness School was elevated to a first alarm. 14 Engine 4 was diverted to the scene when the Holderness Chief requested a second alarm. 14 Rescue 1 was special called for the cascade system to refill air cylinders at the scene. Meredith personnel assisted with fire suppression and overhaul.

Meredith companies were in service at 12:09.

Motor Vehicle Accident on Waukewan Street
September 16, 2020

Meredith companies were alerted at 22:52 for a single vehicle rollover in front of 64 Waukewan Street. 14C1 arrived on scene and reported a pickup truck on it's side and a broken utility pole. The occupants had self-extricated prior to arrival of responding companies. The vehicle had failed to negotiate a curve in the road, struck the utility pole and then flipped over. Personnel contained fluid leaks and assisted with vehicle removal. Stewarts Ambulance personnel evaluated the driver and passenger, but both subjects refused any EMS care. Companies remained on scene until the vehicle was removed. All companies were in service at 23:33.

Four Alarm Structure Fire in Franklin
September 13, 2020

Meredith crews assisted in Franklin at what eventually became a four alarm building fire at 99 Pleasant Street. Franklin crews and several mutual aid departments battled a stubborn fire in a two and one-half story residential structure. Meredith's 14 Engine 1 responded to the scene as part of a third alarm at 15:49. Meredith personnel worked assisting with fire suppression and overhaul.

Meredith Crews Assist at Five Alarm Structure Fire in Laconia
September 8, 2020

Meredith companies responded to Laconia for the second time in less than a week to a structure fire that eventually grew to five alarms. Laconia companies were notified at 00:42 for a building fire at 17 Dyer Street. Laconia Central companies arrived on scene to heavy fire showing at one end of a two story eight unit apartment building. Laconia's 13 Engine 1 immediately called for a second alarm. Meredith's 14 Engine 1 responded to the scene as part of the second alarm. At 1:00 hours, command requested a third alarm, which brought 14 Tower 1 to the scene. Both Meredith companies worked at the fire for several hours assisting with fire suppression and overhaul. Fire departments from as far south as Concord and as far north as Campton operated at the scene.

Meredith companies were in service at 7:02.

Second Alarm Structure Fire in Laconia
September 2, 2020

Meredith companies responded as part of a 2nd alarm assignment for a structure fire at 11 Clay Street in Laconia. Laconia companies were notified at 14:30 for a report of smoke coming the basement of a two and a half story residential structure. Responding Laconia companies could see smoke while en route to the scene and called for a second alarm. Upon arrival, smoke was coming from the second floor. 14 Engine 1 went to the scene and assisted with fire suppression and salvage and overhaul. 14 Tower 1 provided station coverage at Laconia's Central Station.

Meredith companies returned to service at 17:17.
